Laminate flooring

Laminate flooring is an ideal way to provide a modern and stylish finish to your home; it comes in many designs and colours and it can be a more affordable option to wood flooring.

Using a layered construction, laminate flooring does not contain any real wood but imitates the material with the help of a printed pattern set within a resin or plastic layer, mounted on top of MDF or HDF with a balancing backing underneath. Laminate flooring provides an economical alternative to achieve the look of a real wood floor.

As a "floating floor", the planks simply clip into place over a layer of foam or board, making them very easy to lay. They are also easy to maintain and highly durable, although performance is directly dependent upon the grade purchased. Whilst laminate floors may not have the same warm touch that a hardwood floor has, they can provide a consistent and authentic look.
