Distance Selling Regulations (2000)
Simplyflooring.com aims to comply with the rules and regulations of Distance Selling, when interacting with customers for online sales. Elements of these regulations are detailed in the following terms and conditions where they are applicable.
- Your Order
When you place your order with our Home Consultant, you are inviting us to enter into a contract with you to supply the goods you have selected at the price indicated on your order form.
We do our utmost to ensure that all our web prices and descriptions are accurate and up to date, but on rare occasions it is possible that errors may occur.
If you have a query regarding our pricing, please contact our Customer Services Team on ( Insert Number), so that we can check the details of your order.
Please see our terms relating to Cancellations and Refunds for further information about your cancellation rights. Your Terms and conditions will be displayed on the back of your order. - Payment
Payments are made via our Call Centre and will record the transaction, however we hold all payment information securely and our staff do not have access to this once the payment is processed
To ensure that your credit, debit or charge card is not being used without your consent, we will validate name, address and other personal information supplied by you during the order process against appropriate third party databases. By accepting these terms and conditions you consent to such checks being made. In performing these checks personal information provided by you may be disclosed to a registered Credit Reference Agency which may keep a record of that information. You can rest assured that this is done only to confirm your identity, that a credit check is not performed and that your credit rating will be unaffected. All information provided by you will be treated securely and strictly in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. - Delivery
Delivery estimates are given in good faith and we will do our best to ensure your order arrives within the time stated. However time is not the essence of the contract and we will not accept liability for any losses due to extended delivery times.
If the expected delivery time is likely to, or does, exceed 28 days after the expected delivery date, then you will be able to cancel your order if you wish and receive a full refund of the monies you have paid.

- Colour
Your carpet was specially ordered for you and is likely to be from a different production batch to the one the sample was taken from. Slight variations between batches are normal and must therefore be expected.
As well as batch variations, differences may be due to different lighting or the effect of the surrounding decor in your home, or it may simply be the effect that is common to all carpets which makes them look slightly different according to the angle from which they are viewed.
However we regularly check carpets against the samples to ensure that each batch is a satisfactory match and within the legal tolerance. - Natural Products
There will variation in natural products such as real wood and we will make this clear to you during the selection process.

The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 (as amended 2005) detail that by purchasing over the internet or by telephone you are entering into a "Distance Sale". In addition to your normal statutory rights as a consumer you also have the right to cancel the contract at any time up to seven days after the date your order is delivered to you. Any refunds will be made within 30 days of our receipt of any returned goods and subsequent agreement over their condition. Should you have any queries, please contact our customer services team on (Insert Number). - Delivery only(no fitting)
When your goods have been delivered, you have seven days to make sure they are the goods you ordered. You should retain the packaging during this time so that this can be used, for its return, if applicable. You will be responsible for the condition of the goods and for their reasonable care whilst they are in your possession and to ensure they are properly packaged throughout their return to us.
Please contact our Customer Services Team on 0808 131 0 131 (free) and we will arrange for the collection of the goods without charge to you and a refund of the purchase price, subject to the goods being received in satisfactory condition.
After this statutory seven day 'cooling off' period, you still have the protection of your statutory rights. If you are unsure of your rights, please do not hesitate to seek advice from Trading Standards or other advisory body. - Aftercare
We recommend the use of an upright type cleaner with rotating brushes for cut pile carpets, and a cylinder type (suction only) cleaner for loop pile or mixed pile carpets.
We recommend that all rugs are professionally cleaned periodically. The frequency will depend on the level of soiling, but should be done before soiling becomes ingrained into the pile fibres. - Data Protection
Simplyflooring.com takes data protection very seriously. All data is stored and treated with complete confidentiality and in accordance with the legal provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998.
We also train all our staff in data protection. - Intellectual Property
